Our Teachers have made teaching and performing historical dance – from the Renaissance through Regency – her passion for more than thirty years, and Moonlight Dance is the final evolution of that journey. Specializing in teaching large groups of people with a wide variety of dance experience, Moonlight Dance fuses together historical dance, fantastic elements, modern teaching techniques, and a warm, inclusive environment.

Court Dancing: +1 Performance, +1 Diplomacy
In your eternal quest for just one more point of diplomacy at formal elven functions, why not explore dance? No experience? Not a problem – we’ll take you from novice to experienced courtier in no time flat! All new dances for 2025!
Ten Thousand Pounds a Year: Regency Dance
Has Bridgerton left you a little hot around the collar for Regency ballrooms (and libraries)? Dancers of all experience levels are invited to learn some of the beautiful dances of the Regency. No experience necessary, all steps and dances will be taught, along with some insight into the ballrooms of the period. All new dances for 2025!
Party Like it’s 1099 – Modern music, Historical Dance
Just for fun! What happens when you take a 16th Century English Country Dance and perform it to 80’s music? Hilarity happens. Combining the catchiest dance tunes with traditional dances, let’s get silly and fun. Absolutely no experience required! All new dances for 2025!
Wyl Liked That: Dancing in Video Games
Video games have been sneaking dance into their stories for a while now, and today we’ll spend some time learning Wyl and Tav’s dance from Baldur’s Gate. No experience necessary, but do wear something comfy you can move in.
Beginning Celtic Dance
Do you hear Celtic music and feel your spirit move? Do pipes stir your soul? Does the sound of the bodhran make you want to dance? Do you then get to the show and wonder what in the heck you are supposed to do with your feet? Wonder no more! Learn the basics of Irish and Scottish dance and dance to your heart’s content. No experience necessary, but do wear comfortable clothes you can move in.
6 – Intermediate Celtic Dance
You’ve learned the steps, now what? In the intermediate class, learn to put them together for some easy solo and group dances. Prior experience with Celtic dance or our Beginning Celtic Dance will make the class easier. Please wear comfortable clothes you can move in.
7 – Ceilidh Dance for Everyone
The scene: A bar in the Highlands, musicians at the ready, and there you stand on the dance floor. What to do? Time to Ceilidh! We will be teaching group dances from the seven Celtic Nations that are easy, fun, and will get you through any unexpected late night dance parties. No experience necessary! All new dances for 2025!
Renaissance Discotheque!
Feel like learning some ways to get down on the dance floor, 16th Century style? Do we have the class for you! We’ll be teaching an array of dances for court, country, and afterparty. No experience necessary, all steps and figures will be taught.
Fairies, Skip Hence!
Folklore and fantasy paints a gorgeous picture of the fae folk dancing. Join two professional faeries to learn some of the simple yet elegant dances of the Faerie court. No experience necessary, all ages welcome.
Dancing at the Green Dragon
Though we are past Bilbo and Frodo’s birthdays, we can still attempt the Springle Ring, “a pretty dance, but rather vigorous”, as well as other simple group dances that one could find in the Shire. No experience necessary, all ages welcome! All new dances for 2025!
Go tell the Bees: Dances from Outlander
Outlander spans both space and time, and Jamie and Claire themselves move between Scotland, France, and the new world. Join us for a selection of dances that they would have danced from all three countries, along with a little history for good measure. No experience necessary!
Improv a World: Fairy Tales
Fairytale tropes are a rich resource for collaborative storytelling. Building from a base, we will explore how to build a story together, & how to integrate them into your own adventures and writing.
Seelie and Unseelie: Dance in the Courts of the Fairy Queens
The ballrooms of Faerie can be a treacherous place. With a little instruction, you can blend in with the courts of both Summer and Winter. Wings welcome, no experience necessary, and bring your love of the elegant and slightly dangerous.
Character and Choreography – Dance as character expression in LARP
At conventions, you have ample opportunities to combine parties and Live Action Roleplaying. Why not explore how to layer your character’s choices onto your movement and dance? We’ll work through some simple movement exercises and workshop some options you can bring to any of your LARP events to up your immersion. No experience necessary!

There’s nothing better than sharing an emotionally charged dance with someone who is both infuriating and charming and how DARE they be so nice looking, and….

As the World Falls Down – Dance in the Labyrinth
Scored an invitation to the Goblin King’s ball? We’ll show you the way through. Together with Dancing with Dragons, learn a beautiful choreographed piece set to “As the World Falls Down”. No experience needed.
